Wakeboarding

Your Lesson: what to expect

Wakeboarding is a water sport where the student stands on a wakeboard and is towed behind the jet-ski, gliding across the water and performing tricks. Combines elements of water skiing, snowboarding, and surfing.
Recommended Course Duration: 1 Hour

What will I learn?

  • Starting: The rider begins in the water with the board positioned perpendicular to the boat. As the boat starts moving, the rider leans back and allows the board to plane on top of the water, then stands up.
  • Riding: The rider maintains balance by keeping their knees slightly bent and weight centered. The wakeboarder can ride outside the boat’s wake or carve turns within it.
  • Jumping: By using the boat’s wake as a ramp, riders can jump and perform aerial tricks.
